He will direct the development and delivery of the Rail Industry Health and Safety Strategy. The directorate defines and delivers transformative work for the rail industry. Their remit includes asset management, train operations and occupational safety. Public behaviour, health and wellbeing, and cross-industry collaboration are also key focuses.
Chris reflects on his priorities for the coming year.
RSSB has a unique combination of world-leading expertise, data and analytics, and rail sector experience. We also live in some challenging times. There’s a clear need to focus on delivering a sustainable, safe, and reliable railway system. Our work with members to find new approaches, and introduce digital transformation, will ensure we keep that focus. The new Rail Health and Safety Strategy sets out clear priorities for collaborative work across the industry. Its launch will be a key milestone.
We know Chris will continue to make great progress in his new role. His leadership and expertise will support the SSH directorate in its essential work.
