RWA: streamlined support, holistic approach
Why the Rail Wellbeing Alliance’s streamlined structure is better for rail
Rail leader update on health and wellbeing

Rail companies will benefit from more streamlined support with their health and wellbeing activities following the restructuring of the Rail Wellbeing Alliance’s (RWA’s) subgroups.
Until recently, seven cross-industry groups reported to the RWA, covering the full spectrum of health and wellbeing in rail. But RSSB, RWA members, and group chairs felt that time, effort, and resource could be more effectively managed and distributed if they were consolidated.
Three groups, covering the same priorities, now sit under the RWA.
This change, which coincides with the launch of the Rail Health and Safety Strategy, is good for rail companies. A smarter structure allows the subgroups to work more efficiently and holistically on measures that will help rail companies improve workforce health and wellbeing.
