Implementation in numbers
Over the past financial year, 25% of ‘significant’ findings progressed by one or more implementation stages. This demonstrates our success in driving research implementation. We achieved this result through a combination of targeted interventions on newer research findings alongside ongoing support of findings on a long-term implementation journey.
Our current approach to supporting and tracking implementation started in 2013. Since then, RSSB has completed 457 research projects. Of these, 249 findings were deemed ‘significant’.That is approximately 55% of all completed research.
The figure below shows the implementation stages reached by all these significant research outputs since 2013. It shows the implementation stage reached at the end of the financial year, if the finding is still being monitored, or at the time when monitoring and active implementation support stopped.
That 25% of all significant outputs have been fully implemented, and an additional 42% partially implemented, demonstrates the effectiveness of the programme and its implementation focus.
