Health and Wellbeing Data Hub deliverables
Monitoring workforce health and wellbeing is crucial for maintaining a high-performing, safe, and sustainable network that meets customer needs.
The Health and Wellbeing Data Hub will:
help companies identify areas where more support is needed to reinforce positive health interventions, improving the workforce’s physical and mental health
help companies identify performance against a set of KPIs, supporting benchmarking locally and nationally
identify health risks in industry and areas where improvements can be made
provide a live knowledge base that links directly to guidance for a variety of health and wellbeing concerns
look for collaborative approaches across industry to key health risks
help with prioritisation of investment
show progress and improvements, enabling targeted interventions on troublesome areas.
The goal of embedding the Health and Wellbeing Data Hub into the Safety Management Intelligence System (SMIS) or linking it to SMIS is to bring together different industry data sets. This will give us a more comprehensive understanding of health and wellbeing. It will then form part of the RSSB insights platform.
The success of the strategy depends on industry collaboration. It relies on good quality data and needs commitment and action. It also requires long-term investment to allow time for progress. This data strategy will move us significantly towards delivery of the vision to manage health and wellbeing on a par with safety.
