App upgrade: how apt
The Rule Book app has been upgraded, improving usability and accessibility. RSSB’s Barbara Smith takes you through the improvements.
The RSSB Rule Book app has been upgraded following your feedback. Users will be able to start using the latest version in early December 2024.
So, what’s new? It’s simpler to use. You don’t need to log in every time you use it. Plus, it has an auto-sync feature, so you won’t need to download modules again after turning your device off.
On top of that, we’ve improved the continuity function. This means the app will remember where you were the last time you accessed it. So, you’ll be able to continue reading from where you left off, be that about safety critical comms, degraded working, or reporting trespassers.
We’ve also focused on improving the app’s accessibility. One new feature is ‘writ large’, which enables you to change the font size to make the text easier to read.
By pinching or double-tapping the screen, you’ll now be able to rotate or zoom in on images. This is a much smoother, more enjoyable experience.
