Delivering on our 5-year plan
This annual business plan is for the first delivery year of our new 2024-29 year plan. In this document we outline the key role we play in helping the sector to meet the most important challenges facing the industry.
We also introduce our strategic multipliers, and the role they will play in meeting industry goals.
RSSB has a unique collection of people with a variety of technical skills. When we apply expertise from different disciplines to solve multi-system challenges, we can produce solutions that are greater than the sum of their parts.
For instance, we could increase our exploitation of the value of data. This will enhance cost savings and improve performance. In 2024-25, we will develop a new standard for time in rail operations, provide guidance for industry on the better use of data, and upgrade the RAATS2 tool. Collectively, these commitments will deliver better information provision, drive improvement, and help manage train accident risk.
